So I'm pretty behind on my posts since this trip was taken in May, but I'm slowly going to add photos of stuff we've been up to in the last four or so months. (Click on the photos to make them larger.)
In the first catch-up post, we took an amazing family vacation to Maui! This was back when my baby bump was a slightly reasonable size.
There was an awful lot of swimming.
And boogie boarding.
And beaching.
On our last night in Hawaii, we went to a Luau, which was a spectacular afternoon and evening spent watching dudes crack coconuts, roasting a pig, eating said pig, making luau crafts, drinking virgin coladas (me and Hugo) and not-so-virgin coladas (Marty) and witnessing some spectacular hula dancing.
The best hula dancing happened at the very end of the show when the kids watching were asked to come up on stage and learn the dance. Our little man was a STAR. Seriously. We had people coming up to us at breakfast the next day asking about him and telling him how much they enjoyed his hula dancing.
Marty and I were laughing so hard we were crying. Hugo just ran up on stage, without hesitation, joined a group of much older children and simply stole the show. He was the smallest, youngest and most excited about hula dancing.
This might actually be the only picture of all three of us from the entire trip - we had to pay for it. Worth every penny.
