East Coast vs. West Coast

After so many great weekends in and around San Francisco, we thought we'd shake it up a little and head back east to visit some friends and meet their babies. (Only one baby, really, belonging to Julie and Pierre. But meeting him was well worth it.)That's Kim and Kimberly, walking in the Lower East Side. I love all the hats, but what really makes the picture is what you can only barely see: the guy's reaction on the far left. I think they got a couple whistles when they walked past him.
This is Charlie. Kim and Charlie were nice enough to let us stay at their place while we were there, a great place down on Clinton Street.
On Saturday night we headed to DUMBO, where our friends Jamie and Geoff live. (Above is Molly and Aaron.) The best part: a huge roof deck alongside the Manhattan Bridge, with views looking back over the river to the Woolworth Building and the downtown Manhattan skyline.
The whole crew. They were all nice enough to roll out the red carpet and try to convince us to move back to NY. They made some pretty strong arguments (and cocktails), so the East Coast vs. West Coast debate rages on.
