There are a lot of great things about living in San Francisco. One of the greatest, ironically, is how easy it is to leave it. Not leave it behind, but physically leave it and be somewhere else that's just as great. So that's what we did a few weekends ago. We left it for Sonoma, only about an hour north but a real escape none-the-less. We went for wine, we went for biking, and mainly we just went to enjoy the weather and relax.
We stayed at the El Dorado, a great old place right on the square in Sonoma. A perfect launching point to go just about anywhere. Above, we only made it about two doors down before we had to stop for lunch and our first glass of wine.

As it turns out, I'm not very photogenic. Especially when eating. No matter, it was a great short break for us, full of sunshine and good food. And with Sonoma so close, we'd be crazy not to do it again.
