We had the same experience with Henry. We always called ourselves "mommy" and "daddy" in front of him and then he started using our names one day. I later found out that they had been teaching the kids their parents' names at day care!
That MUST be where it comes from since we always say mommy and daddy. We just laughed since it was so out of the blue!
